Fire weather discussion as of 11:00 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2019 valid through 10:00 p.m. Tuesday June 25, 2019: Dry conditions will prevail through the period with good overnight humidity recoveries region wide tonight. Conditions will remain dry on Tuesday with finer fuels continuing to slowly cure but not totally dry out yet. Winds will be fairly light becoming typical southwesterly Tuesday afternoon. More unsettled conditions look to return to the area by Wednesday evening.
Aviation discussion as of 11:00 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2019 valid through 10:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2019: VFR conditions will prevail through the period although a period of local MVFR or IFR conditions in low stratus or fog is possible briefly early Tuesday morning at the airport if stratus forms across the Kootenai River valley and drifts southward towards the airport. Not much precipitation has fallen the past few days and what has fell in the morning hours and dried up by afternoon so the ground is fairly dry. Winds will be fairly light with typical afternoon southwesterly winds up to 10 kts possible Tuesday afternoon. Fair weather cumulus clouds will develop Tuesday with bases near 11,000 feet and tops near 13,000 to 14,000 feet with mainly stable and good flying conditions.
